UMW President/Group CEO passes away at 51

KUALA LUMPUR: UMW Holdings Bhd president and group CEO Badrul Feisal Abdul Rahim died late yesterday evening due to a heart attack, the company said today.

He was 51.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, it said the late Badrul joined UMW on Oct 1, 2015 and was instrumental in the company’s success in key value creation projects at various business divisions.

These include making UMW the first Malaysian company to become a Tier-1 aerospace engine component manufacturer to Rolls-Royce Plc, as the group continues on its ambitious journey of transformation.

“Badrul has consistently demonstrated the highest values in business, governance and integrity and had made an indelible mark with his great service, personal relationship and outstanding stewardship. We are deeply saddened by his passing,” it said. – June 1, 2020, Bernama
