Editor’s note: This is DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang’s rebuttal to a recent punditry by MIC deputy president and Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri M. Saravanan that should Pakatan Harapan (PH) win the 15th General Election (GE15), then DAP will determine how the country is run.
The Tapah MP also went to the extent of pointing out that even Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim could not become the prime minister without DAP’s support.
ONE of the greatest English poets, George Gordon Byron or Lord Byron (1788-1824) once said: “Those who will not reason are bigots, those who cannot are fools, and those who dare not are slaves”.
Is the MIC Deputy President and Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri M. Saravanan a bigot, a fool or a slave?
Saravanan should have learnt his earlier lesson from the nation’s labour shortage – but instead – he is like a bull in a china shop, prepared to be a slave to UMNO leaders who are cracking their heads on how to demonise the new DAP leadership by declaring that DAP will run the country if Pakatan Harapan (PH) wins the 15th General Election (GE15).

Who is Saravanan trying to frighten – the Malays, the Chinese, the Indians or Malaysians?
First of all, is Saravanan a full-blooded Malaysian – is he Malaysian first and Indian second, or is he Indian first and Malaysian second?
Can Saravanan tell what he has done as the MIC’s deputy president to make the latter a Malaysian party instead of a party of the Indians in Malaysia?
One of the problems faced by the new UMNO leadership is how to demonise the new DAP leadership as anti-Malay and anti-Islam. Why is Saravanan trying to help the UMNO leadership to demonise the DAP?
MIC is one of the oldest political parties in Malaysia – going as far back as 1946. What has the MIC leaders, particularly Saravanan, done to make MIC a Malaysian political party?
For Saravanan’s information, there is no dominant party in PH which is very different from the Barisan Nasional (BN) which is not only UMNO-dominant, but practises UMNO political hegemony within the coalition – which would have caused Tun V.T. Sambanthan ((MIC’s fifth president) to turn in his grave. – Sept 27, 2022
