NETIZENS can expect many likes and shares if they post videos or photos of cats and dogs. This sums up the internet community which is very much in love with our four legged companion.
But strangely, netizens appear to have taken a very different stance in a video post which showed an elderly man capturing a cat with a net.
Netizen #UpdateInfo, who shared the post, said this was not the first time.
Apparently the man used a broomstick or a PVC pipe to beat the cats, with the excuse that the cats were pooping everywhere.

Sebenarnya, ini bukan kali pertama. Sebelum ini, lelaki tua ini menggunakan batang penyapu atau paip pvc smtg untuk memukul mana-mana kawasan kucing di sana dengan alasan: Kucing berak .

In the video, he was approached by several Malay men who threatened to report him to the police if he continued with the abuse.
However, quite a number of netizens defended the man’s actions, stating that the cats were a major nuisance.
“When there are too many of these wild cats, there will be a problem. They are no longer pets, but pests,” said A2K.
Netizen The Slayer also blamed the owners of the cats.
“You rear cats but don’t know how to manage the cat poop, that is more pig than what the uncle is doing. If you rear cats, cage them and manage their poop,” he added.
Syahrin Khir said it is not that he wanted to support the action of the uncle, but he had faced a similar problem.
“I don’t know which cat poops on the roof of the home below and atop the compressor of my air conditioning. I opened the window of the kitchen and the sliding door of the balcony with the intention to breathe fresh air but received the smell of poop instead,” he added.
Cat lover Jeeha countered that the cats lack the mental ability to pay RM0.50 and poop in the public toilet. “If a cat has brains, it won’t poop everywhere. Even humans with brains still poop everywhere,” said Jeeha.
The comment section was a veritable battlefield between cat lovers and people who deem these felines as pests.
Perhaps the uncle should have reported the issue to the relevant authorities instead of going vigilante. But what is your take regarding the actions of the uncle in the video? Yay or nay? – Nov 4, 2024
