Vaccination programme still on track, but maybe not fast enough

AS the National Immunisation Programme continues, more Malaysians are getting vaccinated, despite only a small number of the people have registered to get the vaccine via the MySejahtera app.

However, the programme might not be running fast enough since the number of new COVID-19 cases in the country are still stuck within the thousands. Today, the number stood at 2,063, bringing the total to 307,943.

The not-so-bad news is that the number of death are still within the single-digit territory, with today standing at five, adding to the total of 1,153.

The better news is the 2,922 patients that were discharged today,  joining the 283,629 other COVID-19 patients that have recovered.

Unfortunately, 193 patients are still in intensive care units and 99 are still in need of ventilator support. – Mar 4, 2021
