A VIDEO purportedly showing a Chinese tourist allowing her child to publicly defecate in front of several residences has shocked and disgusted netizens.
The CCTV clip which apparently captured the unpleasant sight from a homestay in Kea Farm, Cameron Highlands has garnered almost 420,00 views at the time of writing.

Needless to say, the comments from netizens were far from flattering. Here’s just a small sample:
Many netizens were also completely stunned by the lack of hygiene on display:
Some pointed out the apparent cultural differences when it came to toilet etiquette.
Many were left wondering how the perpetrator could actually answer the call of nature so openly and brazenly.
If indeed the video is true and that this was the actions of visitors from China, something needs to be done to educate them on proper etiquette.
Beijing takes a very dim view of its nationals giving their homeland a bad rep and has been at pains to communicate to those travelling abroad to be mindful of their behaviour.
Perhaps this video (if authentic) needs to be highlighted to the China Embassy in Malaysia. Better yet, share it on Chinese social media platforms such as Weibo and let their netizens do the necessary.
