Vogue Lounge KL reopen their doors

DESPITE the weak economy and struggles of food & beverage (F&B) outlets to stay afloat, there are many swanking, hip and elegant eateries that are pushing forward to start entertaining ahead of the festive season.

Vogue Lounge Kuala Lumpur is one such outlet, which has managed to not only brave the storm but reopen their doors on a high note with extra safety precautions.

After a brief hiatus, due to the recent challenges with the worldwide pandemic, the lounge reopened on Dec 1, with a fresh new menu and a new management team on board.

It’s an experience

Vogue Lounge is not an average restaurant; it’s an embodiment of the Vogue lifestyle exemplifying high-end couture, luxurious style and sophistication.

Its fashion pedigree comes from its partnership with Condé Nast, the very same global media company that is home to some of the world’s leading titles including fashion bible, Vogue magazine and branded properties including Vogue Cafes in Moscow, Porto, Kiev, Riyadh and Beijing, Vogue Restaurant in Istanbul and GQ Bar in Berlin.

Vogue Lounge was also the official fashion lounge for the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week Digital 2020 held from Nov 11 to 13 this year.

Not just SOP, HACCP

The lounge’s strict adherence to safety protocols and recommended standard operating procedures (SOPs) mean that you can dine in a safe and stylish environment at ease.

Social distancing measures, temperature checks and limited capacity dining will ensure every dining experience is safe, comfortable, and undisturbed.

To take it up a notch, food safety protocols follow the hazard analysis critical control points (HACCP) standards as an additional enhancement to our public health practices.

HACCP is an internationally recognised method of identifying and managing food safety related risk and, when central to an active food safety program, can provide customers, the public, and regulatory agencies assurance that a food safety program is well managed.

Food fit for a king

Responsible for the creation of the brand new menu is New Zealand-born, Australian-raised head chef Steve Arifin who gained his qualifications from the Canberra Institute of Technology.

The newly conceptualised menu is a reflection of Eurasian and Asian-Med fusion fine dining with Japanese and French influence. Some of the signature dishes which are a must-try include Hokkaido Sea Urchin, A4 Japanese Wagyu and Souffle.

Besides wine and champagne, patrons can also kick off their evening with Vogue Signature Cocktails such as Tokyo Fizz (whiskey, umeshu, earl grey syrup), or Dark Moon (vodka, espresso, DOM Benedictine).

Social distancing in style

To ensure added social distancing and privacy, the lounge’s V Room can cater for up to 16 guests looking for an exclusive dining experience that, with preventive arrangements, could also include the preparation of an ad hoc degustation menu.

Picture perfect

And since everything is going online these days, every corner of the establishment has been thoughtfully designed to exude a distinctive style.

The lounge offers Instagram-able moments with its high floor-to-ceiling glass windows, LED platform cum runway and ultra-chic powder rooms and Vogue magazine covers neatly framed against the wall to the lofty. – Dec 11, 2020.
