GOD forbids but if one’s marriage has to breakdown half-way, then it is vital for the unfortunate couple to part ways in the most amicable possible manner by leaving behind their dirty linen of sorts – so to speak – tightly shut behind closed doors.
Such is probably the expensive lesson that wagyu pizza creator Jofliam whose real name is Jofli Abu Bakar is going to learn after his ex-wife and sensational influencer Cik Epal a.k.a. Murni Mahmud “spill the tea” by tipping off the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) with ‘savoury’ insights into her former hubby’s business.
“Cik Epal has spilt the tea by calling on the ask the IRB to probe Jofliam’s pizza business. She claimed that it’s mostly cash transaction-driven,” echoed fellow social media influencer Bbie.(@twtbiy) in a viral tweet accompanied by Cik Epal’s Instagram tip-off to facilitate the tax collector’s job.

Below is how Sinar Daily summed up the content of Cik Epal’s Inatgram Story which tagged the IRB (@lembagahasildalamnegeri):
Her main allegations targeted his popular pizza business, claiming that it operates entirely on cash transactions, allegedly avoiding taxes and using proxies to handle profits.
She claimed that monthly revenue from the pizza business was approximately RM600,000, accusing Jofliam of misleading the public about the company’s financial performance.
Cik Epal also highlighted that staff members earn between RM600 and RM1,500 daily to maintain their loyalty, hence raising red flags on transparency.
“Claiming the pizza business isn’t profitable? That’s a lie. His pizza sales are incredibly profitable,” she wrote on her official Instagram story.
“He pays his employees daily wages between RM600 and RM1,500. Some are willing to stay so loyal to him because he offers high wages. They make around 500 pizzas a day. At RM150 per pizza, that’s a daily revenue of RM75,000.”
According to Cik Epal, Jofliam’s pizza business generates around RM600,000 monthly, amounting to millions annually – all through cash transactions – which she implied might be a strategy to evade taxes.
She openly urged IRB to investigate Jofliam and his proxies whom she identified by name.
For the record, Cik Epal and Jofliam’s relationship which spanned a decade came to an end on Oct 9 this year.
Married on June 1, 2014 and blessed with two children, Han and Yuki, they divorced after their relationship had been on the rock for several months.
“Jofliam, a figure in the food business, attributed the breakdown to a mix of personal and professional issues,” reported Simar Daily.
“The controversy surrounding the situation began when Jofliam was accused of infidelity, particularly involving his employee, Dewi, which led to misunderstandings and mistrust between the couple.” – Nov 9, 2024
