IMAGINE taking a stroll along a stretch of shoplots. Some sell shoes, apparel, coffee and accessories. And suddenly, it is raw meat hanging from hooks and a decapitated cow head staring sightlessly at the ceiling.
This contra not only shocks, but raises a million and one questions regarding law and order.
Recently, a disturbing video has been making rounds across the digital space, leaving viewers uncomfortable.
The footage shows what resembles a makeshift butchery operating from a commercial shoplot.
According to the narrator in the video, the scene was in Klang, or more specifically in front of Mydin.
Severed cow heads are seen in large tubs, while slabs of raw meat hang from hooks in full view.
The shop looks more like an improvised wet market or slaughterhouse than a typical commercial premise. How could a scene like this unfold in plain sight?

While the authenticity of the video and the circumstances surrounding it have not been independently verified, the images alone are enough to spark serious concerns over hygiene, licensing, public health and enforcement.
If the premises is operating legally, the relevant authorities should say so. If it is not, then Malaysians deserve to know why such an operation was allowed to continue.
Malaysia has clear laws governing the slaughtering, handling and sale of meat. Beyond public health, the incident also touches on Malaysia’s multicultural fabric.
Cows are regarded as sacred by many Hindus, and public displays of severed cow heads can understandably cause discomfort and offence.
The narrator in the video further claimed that those operating the premises are migrants.
At this stage, that remains an allegation and should not be treated as fact until verified by the authorities.
However, if foreign nationals are involved, it would be reasonable for the Immigration Department to determine whether they possess valid documentation and whether they are legally employed in such work.
This is precisely where the authorities must step in. Public confidence depends not only on the existence of laws but also on their enforcement.
Perhaps the most disturbing part of the viral video is not what it shows, but what it suggests. If such a scene can allegedly exist in plain sight without immediate intervention, what else might be slipping beneath the radar of enforcement agencies?—June 30, 2026
