“Why only Hadi when DAP’s dream of having a non-Malay PM is a bigger threat to Anwar’s unity gov’t?”

WITH Prime Minister (PM) Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim seemingly zeroing in on PAS president Tan Sri Hadi Awang as the country’s ‘Public Enemy No. 1’ following fears that the latter harbours an intent to topple the unity government, HarakahDaily has questioned if DAP’s dream of Malaysia having a non-Malay PM is not a threat of the same scale.

With the Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman “critically monitoring” Hadi’s every movement to the extent of scrutinising the Marang MP’s media commentaries, the PAS mouthpiece has reminded Anwar to be inward-looking given that DAP could be a bigger threat to him.

This follows an opinion expressed by the party’s retired supremo Lim Kit Siang who recently asked if Malaysia is prepared to have a non-Malay PM although the veteran lawmaker caveated that “I do not expect to see a non-Malay to become a PM in my lifetime or even my children’s life-time”.

“This is not the first time that DAP has voiced such possibility for Kit Siang has openly expressed that since 2010 with such stance being reiterated by the late Karpal Singh. In fact, even though Anwar has ‘allocated’ (them) the post of DPM (Deputy PM), DAP still maintained that they were ‘qualified’ as PM,” penned Izwan Abdul Halim who is the editor of the PAS mouthpiece.

“This is the real challenge to PH and this country whereby both the political coalition and Anwar are merely puppets or ladders for DAP to climb higher in the political sphere. It is very unfortunate and sheer stupidity for Anwar because DAP has repeated such wish when he is in power and worse still, with him only three months in that position.”

HarakahDaily went on to toy with the prospect that should DAP manage to expand its power in the future, “probably PKR and UMNO will be kicked out by them as what the party did in Penang”.

“Don’t say that all these are impossible for the past stupidity is the reason why DAP had snubbed its friends,” warned the PAS mouthpiece.

“With such arrogance and power in its hand, DAP has incited war and racial sentiments among the people by supposedly wanting to defend the ‘sovereignty’ of Penang. Is this DAP’s signal that political authority can command the military power to pursue their interest if indeed they hold the majority?”

As such, the HarakahDaily’s verdict is that DAP is in fact not qualified to hold the post of PM nor DPM because the party is leading a struggle against the Federal Constitution.

“Above all else, DAP should not even be allowed to be registered in this country and participate in the Malaysian politics,” added the PAS mouthpiece. – March 8, 2023
