A former Member of the Parliament (MP) hailing from the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) is now accused of sexual harassment by a woman who made a police report against the politician.
The latter holds some juicy posts in government-linked entities and the authorities are still investigating the matter.
However, the content of the alleged police report posted on Edisi Siasat on Telegram and by opponents of the PKR on X is very damning and exposes a shocking sexual harassment case.
In the report, the woman says she was at the Malaysia-Thailand Halal Food Festival outside Strand Mall, Petaling Jaya when she alleged that she was harassed by a man, whom she describes as the former PKR MP.
She divulged the company name where the ex-MP is working adding that the man asked her if she wanted to get “gan**”, urging her to attend a dinner with him even though she rejected him several times.
“There were several employees of the Company around me when the ‘remark’ was made. I felt uncomfortable with the statement he had made and left the place,” she said in the report.
She added that after the incident, he made several sexual remarks to her in different places and at different times, such as at her cafe / restaurant and asked her to massage him while inviting her to his office to be a couple.
“This uncomfortable situation has caused me to always distance myself from him and try to avoid face-to-face contact with him and this has interfered with my work because my business is located at Strand Mail (she gives the name of her shop) where his office is also located in the same building.”
She said on 05.07.2024, at approximately 7 pm, he invited her to a room at a snooker centre and said sometimes “a man needs to release testosterone”.
“I have declined the invitation that he has made and feel that the statement that he has made is extreme and I feel very uncomfortable and this is not something that can be taken as a joke,” she said.
She said that after she declined his invitation to go to the snooker joint, she told him she was going to a gym but he followed her there and made even more despicable remarks. – Aug 24, 2024
