IS THE declining birth rate a reason for one to rejoice? For one lady, it is, where she stated that women nowadays have “escaped” the life of marrying and having kids.
Netizen Bitcoin Malaya, who brought the post to light, added that this was toxic feminism and it was detrimental for the society.
“Very happy at declining birth rate because women have the power to escape”
Toxic feminism is so detrimental to our society.

Many netizens were in agreement with Bitcoin Malaya, with some pointing out the problems of first world countries with plummeting birth rates such as Japan.
Also, Anuar Aziz pointed out that having children was a joint decision and not as what Suraya had stated about women not having a choice.
“But I suppose those who write books read books as well,” he said, making a pointed reference to the lady.
But let’s hear it from Eddy MAFJJ whose family is pro-life.
Another netizen said that some people don’t need children and that they will be terrible parents. However, he said it was foolish to call it an escape.
ezroadtax net, on the other hand, pointed out that a smart and independent lady as her should know that no feminist will speak of her name after she is gone, if she did not have grandchildren.
However, Suraya had a supporter in the form of andyairil who said childlessness does not guarantee happiness.
However, he added that there were many other reasons behind the plummeting birth rate besides women not choosing to have kids.
“Things like the economy, education, and how society is changing all play a part,” said andyairil.
On our take, we are certain dear Suraya could find out more about the negative impact of a declining birth rate with just a simple google search.
The inverse also applies of course, so it is vital to strike a good balance between underpopulation and overpopulation to maintain a healthy civilisation. —Jan 15, 2025
