XOX Mobile to create 20,000 jobs via dealer scheme

XOX Bhd’s wholly-owned unit XOX Mobile Sdn Bhd has launched a nationwide campaign that will see the telco creating 20,000 new jobs through its Online Dealer Affiliate Programme.

The group said with the economic downturn due to the Covid-19 outbreak, over 2.7 million households in the bottom 40% (B40) income category are likely to be the most affected.

In a statement today, XOX Mobile group CEO Ng Kok Heng said in good or bad times, the group, as part of an essential service, is still providing and creating jobs via its dealer affiliate programme.

“The programme is online and it only takes effort and hard work but it is all very doable for our dealers to make a living in these difficult times,” he said.

On another note, Ng said during these difficult times, forking out money for internet and communications which is considered essential in this modern day should also not be an additional burden.

XOX Mobile is also aware of its users’ increased internet and communications needs during the nationwide movement control order period, and has created a prepaid plan that gives users 28 months’ validity, he said.

“For other telcos, 365 days equals to RM365 spending just to stay connected, but our users only need to spend RM50 and that is a savings of up to RM315 a year.

“If we are talking solely about our 1.5 million prepaid plan users, we have created savings of up to RM472.5 mil for Malaysians, and this is only for one year,” he explained.

Ng added that XOX Mobile remains committed to creating the most innovative products and income avenues that will benefit its users and dealers as the company strives to bring the best mobile experience to the region. — April 27, 2020, Bernama
