UMNO president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has probably served Pakatan Harapan (PH) with a taste of its own medicine by tweaking the latter’s narrative “one vote for BN (Barisan Nasional) is one vote for Zahid Hamidi” with “one vote for PN (Perikatan Nasional) is one vote for PH”.
Training his gun at Bersatu chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s, the BN chairman cautioned that with Muhhyiddin having been part of the PH coalition prior to the “Sheraton Move” defection, “is not impossible that PN will eventually cooperate with PH”.
“This is especially after failing to get enough seats to form a government. That’s why Bersatu seems ‘down’ when the ‘big tent’ idea didn’t materialise,” the Bagan Datuk MP penned in his latest Facebook posting.
“Of course, BN has no reason to be down. Why does it need to be down? What a joke. To hell with the ‘big tent’ (concept) because BN is still BN.”

On that note, Zahid said it is imperative that the people ensure a big BN win on the Nov 19 polling day.
“This will mean no chance for PH and PN to work together to re-establish their governments which lasted for 22 months and 17 months respectively otherwise this will only spell disaster for the country.”
Taking his argument one step further, Zahid contended that in reality, “one vote for PH only could also mean one vote for DAP”.
“DAP is clearly a component party and policy maker of PH. DAP even seemed to be the dominance force during PH’s 22-month administration,” he claimed. “The deputy minister from DAP is seen as more powerful than the minister. Probably DAP was asked to keep a low profile this time around because PH wants to hide this fact.”
Similarly, Zahid also took a swipe at two-time premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad-led Gerakan Tanah Air (GTA) coalition in that “one vote for GTA is one vote for ‘the non-holy-scripture manifesto’”.
“This is also one vote for the people to be accused of being lazy or that the people will be subject to starvation,” reckoned Zahid. “Moreover, one vote for GTA also means one vote for the ‘samurai bond’ to pay off debts that are ever rising.”
In essence, Zahid equates “one vote for PH, PN and GTA as one vote to ruin the future of Malaysia”. “One vote for BN means one vote to restore stability and prosperity to the country,” he added. – Nov 8, 2022
