Zoom unveils AI-powered innovations focused on enhancing human connection

IN A bid to re-define collaborative efforts in the modern work era, Zoom Video Communications (Zoom) introduced new platform innovations at its Zoomtopia Asia-Pacific (APAC) 2023 event held recently.

The company expressed its commitment toward assisting organisations across the Asia-Pacific region in striking a balance between AI-driven innovation and maintaining authentic human connection.

Zoom which has transformed into a comprehensive unified communications and customer experience platform over the years, introduced several key features and services. They include the AI-enhanced Zoom Docs, a modular workspace constructed explicitly for hybrid work environments.

Additional innovations and integrations revealed the aim to intelligently streamline the workday, enhance customer relationships and construct an open ecosystem that provides choice through seamless integrations.

Zoom Asia-Pacific head Ricky Kapur (main pic) stressed on the importance of harmonising technology and human interaction in his address.

“AI is not just about algorithms and automation but about creating a synergy between technology and human connection,” he pointed out, adding that Zoom is dedicated toward AI-driven innovation, enhancing user experience and productivity while prioritising aspects like trust, safety and privacy.

Zoom’s rapid innovation throughout the region was also shared, such as the launching 600 features for Zoom Contact Centre customers within the last year and collaborating with prominent organisations to reshape employee and customer experiences. They include household names such as Grab, PETRONAS and SingHealth,

Testimonies from Zoom customers such as My Plan Manager and Grab were shared at the event, underlining the pivotal role of the Zoom platform within their customers’ respective digital transformation and user engagement strategies.

Meanwhile, Zoom Asia head Lucas Lu said balancing the future involves navigating the AI revolution as well as harnessing the power of collaboration and exploring a platform approach.
