CYBERJAYA, 23 Sept -- Eksekutif Petronas, Sharil Azrin Damiri, 31, dibantu isterinya Nurul Azira Azreen Zulhisham memetik cili api bara hasil dari penanaman secara teknik fertigasi di Rumah Pokok', iaitu sebuah kebun komuniti yang diusahakan secara kecil-kecilan berdekatan Taman Pinggiran Cyber di sini.
Bapa kepada dua anak itu berkata cita-cita untuk bercucuk tanam timbul sejak beliau berumur 18 tahun, dan kini ia direalisasikan menerusi Rumah Pokok.
Memperolehi ilmu asas fertigasi menerusi kursus anjuran Pusat Latihan Formeniaga pada 2019, Sharil Azrin kini mempunyai 600 pokok sayuran yang majoritinya pokok cili selain pokok terung, timun, dan rock melon yang juga ditanam dengan teknik fertigasi.
Antara varieti pokok cili yang ditanam di Rumah Pokok ialah cili api jenis bara, cili Thai (Sakata 508), cili besar (Sakata 461), yang masing-masing mempunyai kelebihan dari segi rasa selain sentiasa terdapat permintaan daripada orang ramai.
Beliau berkata hasil Rumah Pokok mempunyai pelanggan tetap terutamanya pengusaha restoran berdekatan, pembuat sambal yang sentiasa memborong cili api bara dan juga orang ramai yang tinggal di kawasan sekitar, menerusi promosi jualan dibuat sepenuhnya menerusi laman Facebook Rumah Pokok.
