Batu MP trolls Tian Chua for attending a Bersatu-do, get tables turned on him instead!

YESTERDAY, Batu MP P Prabakaran posted a picture showing PKR vice president Tian Chua attending a buka puasa event on April 24.

However, he queried on why the former Batu lawmaker was attending a feast organised by Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), a rival to Pakatan Harapan.

(I just got this picture, supposedly a buka puasa event. Is this true? If yes, what else was discussed besides breaking fast?)

However, netizens were unimpressed by the PKR MP antagonising his former benefactor and took him to task on social media.

Kau ni budak kecik tak kenang budi. Tian Chua bagi laluan dekat kau dulu, lahabau. Skrg terus jadi nak jadi gangster bawak Vellfire,” charged user Azrul Abu Hassan.

(You little ingrate. Tian Chua made way for you and now you are turning into a gangster riding a Vellfire)

Echoing Azrul’s sentiments, user Sultanmetric Ahmad Shah added:

(We want the young ones to lead the nation but unfortunately, we still have imbeciles from that group)

Netizen Nyke Hazeeg stated:

It is to note that Tian Chua had already clarified the matter on April 26, stating that the event was held at the Batu parliamentary constituency operations office, with Bersatu flags being put up.

The picture was believed to have been circulated by Batu Perikatan Nasional coordinator S Gobi Krishnan.

Back then, Gobi himself have mentioned that every politician from Batu constituency were invited for the break of fast event, including Tian Chua, in the latter’s capacity as former Batu PKR division chief.

In the previous general election, Tian Chua backed Prabakaran’s bid to contest for the Batu parliamentary seats despite the latter contesting as an independent.

Mature politics please

The PKR veteran was barred from contesting by the Election Commission (EC) due to a RM2,000 fine imposed for a court case in 2018. The decision was eventually overturned by the High Court in 2019.

On that note, user Fairuz Fauzi urged politicians to embrace mature politics and work towards improving themselves instead of finding faults in others.

(We should practice mature politics instead of arguing like children. There is no need for fault finding and work on becoming a better lawmaker)

Netizen Alandak remarked:

(Nothing wrong in attending a breaking of fast event if invited. Don’t tell me you can’t even have an iftar session together just because of different political leanings)

On related matter, Tian Chua urged Prabakaran to stop the slander and stressed that he had already explained the matter to the public.

“It is unethical and preposterous for him to continue with the lies about the iftar session involving Bersatu on April 25. It was organised by an NGO in collaboration with the Federal Territories Ministry.

“In fact, Prabakaran’s team member, Stephen Niles also attended to what was dubbed as ‘dinner with traitors’,” he responded.

Advising Prabakaran, Tian Chua reminded the former to understand why PKR was formed and compete gracefully in the party as everyone there share the same ideals.

“So, don’t bring gutter politics and personal attacks into our beloved party,” he quipped. – May 15, 2022
