A SHORT clip showing a rude and abusive male passenger in a female-only KTM coach has angered netizens with many wondering why it is so difficult for some people to understand such basic rules.
The video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by UpdateInfo (@update11111) shows the man angrily reacting to a female passenger who had dared point out to him that it was a ladies-only compartment.

The male passenger reacted furiously to being called out and challenged the female passenger to call the cops which someone did. Even then, the man refused to budge insisting he had the right to do so since he was accompanying his wife and young daughter.
The video has already generated 1.1 million views with plenty of scorn for the very public-display of anti-social behaviour.
Many expressed dismay that many Malaysians seem incapable of following such simple rules. This isn’t an isolated incident as previous episodes had been widely shared on social media.
With one applauding the brave female passenger for calling the man out for his blatant disregard of the rules whilst noting this was a frequent problem.
Another commenter pointed out that there was alternative space in other coaches. Why did this man feel the need to complicate matters by being so obstinate?
Quite a few expressed surprise that he even used his daughter as an excuse with one sarcastically asking if he also insisted on entering female toilets to accompany his young daughter?
Many netizens also poked fun at the recalcitrant passenger’s attempt at throwing a tantrum in (very broken) English, perhaps reflective of his superiority complex.
One netizen politely suggested that the male passenger should at least dress in drag if he wanted a spot in the female-only coach.
A few lamented that the other women in the coach did not see fit to back up the female passenger by collectively calling him out. The commenters believed the rude male passenger would have been shamed into silence.
Of course, with anything these days, there will always be those who seek to add racial slurs to the narrative, claiming this to be stereotypical behaviour of certain “Types”.
Suffice to say, FocusM will not repeat those comments here except to say that as highlighted in previous incidents, this phenomenon is not an exclusive trait tied to any demographic except the thick-skinned and inconsiderate segment of Malaysian society. – July 24, 2024
