GRAPHJET Technology Sdn Bhd, a leader in sustainable graphite and graphene production, is now in contention for the prestigious Platts Global Energy Awards after being selected as a finalist for the Energy Transition (Emerging Technology of the Year) category.
This recognition highlights Graphjet’s innovative approach in converting palm kernel shells into high-value graphite and graphene, thus positioning the group at the forefront of clean energy solutions.
Recall that Graphjet which has revolutionised the graphite production process by having developed patented technologies that convert agricultural waste into high-quality graphite and graphene was successfully listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange on March 15.
Established in 1999, the S&P Global Platts Global Energy Awards are often regarded as the “Oscars” of the energy industry.
Celebrating trailblazing companies and individuals that drive transformative change, the awards underscore the importance of innovation and collaboration in advancing clean energy on a global scale.
This year’s event will culminate in a grand gala in New York City on Dec 12.
