MALAYSIANS who have been snubbing the US for its pro-Israel stance in the Gaza war leading to their boycott of American/Zionist products have shown a rare instance of solidarity with the US policy, thanks to newly-elected US president Donald Trump’s clamp down on inappropriate LGBTQ culture.
Such sentiment can be gauged from a social media post by Irfan_newboys🇲🇾🇵🇸 (@Marchfoward) who shared that Trump who is making a comeback as the 47th US president has instructed every school in the district and state across the US not to promote lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer culture to their pupils, especially in sporting activities.

“In addition, Trump is planning to table a bill in the US Congress that only men and women are legally declared as genders in the US,” penned Irfan_newboys🇲🇾🇵🇸. “The focus of education will be changed from encouraging LGBTQ to fostering family activities.”
Such statement is certainly music to the ears of Malaysians who have a conservative mindset or not liberal-minded.
“Any right-wing party in the world is indeed anti-LGBT. Only leftist parties support such thing,” opined fellow social media influencer Sauffie (@Sauffie84).
“Footnote: Thus far in Malaysia, only PSM (Parti Sosialis Malaysia) talks about arresting LGBT people. DAP which is feared by the Malays threw LGBT under the bus for fear that PH (Pakatan Harapan) would fall because of the LGBT issue.”
Finfluencer Edmund Gerald (@EdGeraldX) concurred that societal norm has run afoul since the existence of LGBTQ with crypto freak Bitcoin Malaya (@bitcoinmalaya) stating that he is not against the LGBT group for they deserve their freedom but “don’t ever involve our children”.
Others praised the 78-year-old Trump who despite his erratic antics, has the POYO (slang/abbreviation for “proud of your own”) attitude in him.
“Whether you like Trump or not, he’s not like the Democrats; he’s the motor mouth type but likes to be frank. Democrats are good in from of us but are devils behind us,” observed PH backer Abang aji🪵(@apanakdikato).
However, there are doubters aplenty if Trump can be successful in his quest to eradicate the LBGTQ culture which has become so deeply entrenched “till transvestites are allowed to use female toilets although many women are against such idea”.
At the end of the day, as one commenter puts it, this is one area where Trump has doner right but there is certainly one other ‘much bigger’ concern that will be closely watched – Palestine. – Nov 13, 2024
