But people get “creative,” anything is possible as can be seen in this video post on X.
Apparently, a lady was switching the Grade A eggs into the Grade B packaging to reduce the price.
Since the eggs look the same, and these were missing eggs despite the drop in quality, she would have gotten away with it if not for the video recording.

The post has steadily gained traction among netizens, with many condemning her acts.
“Such people are more deserving of being jailed than the people who steal bread because they are hungry,” said netizen BukanBabahkau.
OH! MEDIA said it was okay to be poor as long as you are not contemptibly poor to steal eggs.

S.Izwan added that this is the type that likes to press the apple, break the end of the beans and enjoy lining up for many hours just for the sake of getting freebies.
Netizen 와루나 pointed out that the difference between the Grade A ad Grade B eggs were inconsequential, at just several sens.
“Do you become poor just paying more for a better quality,” said 와루나.
Another netizen shared that during her work in retail sometime back, the store had an officer in plain clothes who observed such cases of egg exchange.
“Once the customer reached the cashier, they were caught and shown the CCTV recording. Their faces went white,” she said.
According to an article on Free Malaysia Today dated 17 June this year, a Grade A egg costs only 42 sen while the Grade B at 40 sen. That is a difference of only 2 sen per egg.
Unless you are extremely poor, this is an insignificant difference that should not warrant such a drastic act of switching eggs. But sometimes, human action defies logic. —Nov 13, 2024
