Hypocrisy of branding DAP communists yet PAS, Bersatu leaders make beeline to China for official visit

BALD-FACED, shameless hypocrisy.

That’s the impression Orenji オレンジ Kementerian Kamen Rider Malaysia (@OrenjiRenOren) has of pro-opposition supporters.

The poster contended these people would “bark” to the high heavens that DAP is a communist party while being oblivious to the fact that an entourage of young Perikatan Nasional (PN) leaders comprising PAS and Bersatu parliamentarians and state assemblymen “have safely landed in China” for an official visit.

They are tentatively scheduled to visit Shanghai and Beijing in the course of meeting with officials from the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Such development was seized upon by Madani administration backers to pour scorn on opposition supporters for blindly giving in to the whims and fancies of their leaders.

More than one couldn’t resist taking a swipe at opposition politicians and their supporters for making a mountain out of molehill when school children waved China flags to welcome naval vessels in Penang.

One netizen did not hold back when describing the hypocrisy of the opposition in playing up the Chinese naval vessels in Penang. But they themselves are now in China for official visit.

Other commenters made light of the situation, alluding to another incident where the opposition tried to politicise the waving of China flags (by Chinese nationals) at a cultural event in Teluk Intan.

With some challenging the entourage – in particular now Bersatu supreme council member and Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal – to exact “revenge” by flying the Jalur Gemilang at the Tiananmen Square.

One netizen urged foreign media in the likes of South China Morning Post, China Daily and Shanghai Daily to pose difficult questions to these politicians with regard to their anti-China rhetoric.

Another wondered if the Chinese authorities were aware of the stance of Bersatu and PAS towards Beijing and would eventually contemplate revoking visas of members of the PN entourage.

One cheekily asked if it was yet another move to oust the government of the day, alluding to the Langkah Sheraton and Langkah Dubai.

Another threw the question as to how the trip was funded with one commenter quipping that it was from “passing the Milo tin around”.

The sarcastic comments were many ranging from the entourage being there to conquer China to looking for “amoi (slang for Chinese girls).

Another commenter did not hold back in describing the antics of the opposition politicians.

One netizen perhaps summed the situation perfectly by stating that it was “a picture of a shameless lot”. – Nov 21, 2024
