THERE is a viral trend going around the world with the quote “I’m bored, tell me the craziest thing”, which is all over TikTok. However, it seems that the trend has finally reached Malaysian shores, where social media users discuss the craziest encounters they had with a PAS supporter.
However, note that these social media users are sharing their experiences with those who support a said political party and are not about the politicians in the party.
An X user claimed that his cousin had an official marriage done twice. The reason is that the first Ustaz was an UMNO supporter. After they found out that he wasn’t a PAS supporter, they had to re-do the ceremony with a Ustaz who supports PAS.

Another user stated that there is a mosque that needed two imams, as some patrons would refuse to pray with an imam who isn’t supporting the same political party as theirs. They felt that their prayers were not valid if they prayed with someone who’s from a different political affiliation.
It went to the point that one area would have two separate mosques to have those who support UMNO and those who support PAS. The user who made that statement claims those PAS supporters felt it was “haram” to pray in a mosque that had an UMNO supporter for an imam.

One user claimed that his father has been an imam at his local mosque since 1984. However, when the party lost in his area in 2018, and his father switched sides, they removed him from the mosque.
There were some religious ceremonies done by the villagers that were not attended by those who were a part of the mosque. They’d engage in their ceremonies at a different time and location. — May 3, 2025
The best part is kampung buat program qurban, 7 ekor lembu. Buat kenduri, gotong royong kat masjid, tapi orang masjid yang totok ni tak join pun. Diorang buat qurban hari esoknya sembelih beberapa ekor kambing kat rumah pengerusi.
