Jamal Jamban’s “start small pig enterprise” jibe at Teresa Kok reeks of “going back to his old self”

“GO start a pig farm in your own backyard!”

The anger, bitterness and resentment were evident in a social media video by UMNO Sungai Besar division head Datuk Seri Jamal Md Yunos a.k.a. Jamal Jamban who told Seputeh MP Teresa Kok what she could do with his outstanding RM66,000 settlement in a defamation suit.

This came about after the DAP lawmaker went at great lengths to recover the outstanding sum of RM66,061.65 comprising costs and interest from Jamal even though RM300,000 has been deposited into a stakeholder’s account pending an appeal.

In expressing the frustration of having the indignity of having court officers forcibly enter his home on Jan 28 to retrieve assets, the 55-year-old revealed that he had successfully auctioned a pair of slippers and a towel used in a demonstration to settle the arrears.

“Today I successfully conducted an auction of one of my slippers and a towel that I used during a demonstration on the water issue in Selangor some time ago, for RM66,000,” he declared defiantly.

“I will use the money to pay Teresa Kok and suggest that she starts a small-scale pig farming venture at her residence. That is, of course, if Teresa Kok’s house is not located within the state of Selangor,” quipped the restauranteur.

The controversial figure not known for his tact or subtlety could thank two mysterious bidders for his windfall – a man from Negeri Sembilan who bought the towel as well as another from Sabah who bought the slipper for RM33,000 and promised to deliver it to Kok’s office and handle payment.

In a Facebook Reel (similar to the above TikTok clip) by the former Barisan Nasional (BN) Selangor communications head filled with many racially-charged comments were pleas for the recently recovered from Stage 4 lung cancer Jamal to take it easy.

“Allah has given you a second lease of life” was the key message here.

In the post which has generated 5.9K likes, 1.8K comments and 289 shares at the time of writing, one commenter observed that the once “Red Shirts” leader didn’t fully appreciate the second chance granted by the Almighty.

Another claimed that a leopard never changes its spots and that Jamal was back to his old self.

Some detractors went even further by insinuating that his illness was a smokescreen to avoid litigation or the consequences thereof.

It was opined that Jamal was tempting fate. Having already lost this court case, was he inviting more legal suits with his outbursts? Anymore “saman fitnah (defamation suit) and he would end up in Tanjung Rambutan”, quipped one commenter, making reference to the infamous mental health institution in Perak.

But in politics, there is always two sides of the fence for there were plenty of supporters gleefully applauding the ‘Baju Merah’ activist’s show of defiance.

Similarly, there were those who thought otherwise.

It would appear from the clip that Jamal is unrepentant and hell-bent on stirring controversy. Some may revel in his brand of political theatre but some are beginning to find it tiresome.

Perhaps, as suggested by some commenters, after his recent health scare, it is better to lead a more sedate life rather than going around provoking others with ill-judged insults. – Feb 12, 2026
