What to expect on Bursa Malaysia this Tuesday

BELOW are excerpts of viewpoints from two selected research houses on what investors can expect in the day ahead:

Berjaya Research

The FBM KLCI edged higher on Monday, recovering its intraday losses to close in positive territory, supported by gains in selected telco heavyweights.

Trading volume fell to 2.7 billion shares while market breadth was negative as the lower liners remain in purple patch.

Going forward, the FBM KLCI is expected to extend its recovery gradually, underpinned by a modest improvement in risk appetite following the pullback in US Treasury yields.

Nevertheless, investors are likely to remain attentive to developments surrounding the US mid-term elections.

The broader market could potentially attract bargain hunting, particularly among lower liners with sound fundamentals and attractive valuations.

Meanwhile, the slump in oil prices after Iran indicated it is open to peace talks could be negative towards oil & gas (O&G)-related stocks.

While the local bourse has demonstrated resiliency as of late, lingering external uncertainties are expected with further upsides measured.

The immediate resistances remain located at 1,620-1,630 points while the immediate supports are pegged at 1,592 points, followed by 1,580 points.

The FBM KLCI may remain resilient, supported by domestic digital and data-centre investments.

SkyeChip Bhd offers exposure to AI (artificial intelligence) and HPC (high-performance computing) chip-design demand with silicon IP (intellectual property) contributing 63% of revenue.

Meanwhile, Gamuda Bhd secured Google’s water infrastructure project in Negeri Sembilan, supported by the latter’s US$160 mil shared-water infrastructure commitment.

Infomina Bhd also received a five-year Broadcom appointment covering 13 Asia-Pacific markets.

Further beneficiaries include ISF Group Bhd following a RM83.2 mil in data-centre contract wins, thus lifting its unbilled order book to RM225.5 mil while Northern Solar Holdings Bhd secured 189MW of solar-plus-battery projects to support two data centres.

The local bourse climbed on Monday by extending its technical rebound following an intraday turnaround.

Backed by a positive MACD histogram and an RSI advancing toward 50, overhead resistance sits at 1,635-1,650 with support established at 1,590-1,605. – Nov 3, 2026
