WHETHER one looks up to him or otherwise, it is high time for Malaysians from all walks of life to put their political differences aside and pray for the health and well-being of former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who was admitted to the National Heart Institute (IJN) yesterday (Dec 16) evening.
In a brief media statement, IJN said Dr Mahathir who arrived at the institute at 7pm shall be undergoing a full medical check-up and further observation.
“Yang Amat Berbahagia Tun is expected to be in IJN for the next few days,” IJN added.
The 96-year-old Langkawi MP was treated for a chest infection at the institute and was also admitted for treatment and observation in August 2016.
Dr Mahathir who suffered a mild heart attack in 2006 has also undergone two bypass surgeries, the first at Kuala Lumpur Hospital in 1989 and the second at IJN in 2007. – Dec 17, 2021
