Bringing wholesome and accessible French cuisine to Malaysia

FRENCH cuisine has long gained notoriety among average Malaysians for being a pricey affair that is often associated with a fine-dining haute cuisine experience meant to be enjoyed only on special occasions. All in all, certainly not a wallet-friendly dining option.

But Le Cordon Bleu Chef Daphane Loke hopes to change that perception through the introduction of SAYBONS.

A hugely successful fast-casual French dining affair in Singapore, SAYBONS is inspired from the French phrase C’est si bon which means ‘it’s good’.

The restaurant has been dishing up hearty French cuisine since 2007, and boasts an array of popular ready meals comprising Pasta Pots, Stews and Broths, and Take-Home Soup Packs.

Chef Daphane started SAYBONS with the aim of making French food affordable and accessible to everyone without having to sacrifice the wholesome honest flavours that come from using the freshest food ingredients and adopting classic French culinary techniques.

Apart from the well-received SAYBONS café experience, Chef Daphane also adopted a fresh and innovative to French cuisine, and captures the goodness of French food into convenient takeaways for everyone to enjoy, whether it is in the office or from the comforts of their homes.

The Fusion French casual dining food group with cafés, catering, vending machines and ready meals, which is the first of its kind in Singapore, is set to spread its wings to other countries, with Malaysia being the first destination.

Malaysians are invited to get a sneak taste of SAYBONS as the brand heads for local shores.

Four of the halal-certified SAYBONS Take Home Soup Packs – Wild Wild Mushroom Soup,  Seafood Bisque, Potato & Leek Soup, and Fresh Tomato Soup – are available at an accessible price at select Village Grocer, Big and BSC Fine Foods stores and online outlets via https://www.bites.com.my/ and https://www.happyfresh.com/.

“In time, we are excited to introduce the complete SAYBONS experience of wholesome and accessible French and French-inspired food to Malaysia,” explained Chef Daphane, adding that they will collaborate with local partners to introduce their ready-to-eat products and explore opportunities to set up our cafés, kiosks or vending machines.

“This is my vision of the future of food – good food everywhere. SAYBONS will make tasty and nutritious French and French inspired food that you can eat anywhere,” she concluded. – July 6, 2021
