CELCOM Axiata Bhd has announced the appointment of Imri Mokhtar (pic) who was formerly Telekom Malaysia Bhd chief operations officer (COO), as its new COO with effect from May 1.
Imri, with over 24 years of experience in the industry, is expected to provide leadership in the technology, digital transformation and various corporate functions within the enabler group. This includes network operations, digital enablement, IT, business transformations, programme management, regulatory, legal and other corporate functions, driving operational excellence throughout the organisation.
In his previous position, Imri oversaw the business operations of unifi, TM ONE, TM Global clusters and the IT and Network of TM Group, and served as the acting group CEO between November 2018 and June 2019.
