COVID-19 case detected at The Beer Factory Eco Bloom, outlet closed for now

POPULAR joint, The Beer Factory outlet in Eco Bloom, Simpang Ampat, Penang has been closed down for the time being after one of its employees has been tested positive for COVID-19.

“The outlet has been closed since March 25 as a precautionary measure since the employee showed mild symptoms.

“And the premise will remain closed for sanitisation and disinfection process until we receive feedback from the Health Ministry on the next course of action,” it said in a statement.

On that note, it assured the public that its other outlets in Penang and those across the nation are in “outlet bubble format”, and the Eco Bloom staffers had no contact with the other branches.

Staffers who were in close contact with the infected employee were told to stay at home, while awaiting their PCR swab test results.

With that, The Beer Factory has urged all those visited its Eco Bloom outlet between March 18 and 24, registered with the MySejahtera app, to get tested as soon as possible, with the management promising to cover the costs for swab tests.

“You can make a claim with your swab test receipt from any of our outlets before May 5,” it stated.

The popular food & beverage outlet has various branches across Malaysia, including six in the Klang Valley and one is Melaka. – March 28, 2021.
