THE Health Ministry has reported 3,346 new COVID-19 cases and 11 deaths in the past 24 hours.
In a tweet today, Health Ministry’s director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also said that there were 4,427 recoveries, bringing the total number of those recovered to 141,446.
“The total number of infections now stands at 183,801. Unfortunately, 11 people have lost their lives, bringing the total number of fatalities to 678,” he said.
Those who died involves 10 locals and one foreigner.
Selangor continues to record the highest number of daily infections at 950, followed by Sabah (431), Kuala Lumpur (390), Johor (378) and Sarawak (255).
On related matter, Noor Hisham announced that there are currently 348 active clusters, with nine new ones detected today.
The new clusters are:
- Ladang Segama (Sabah)
- Jalan Segama (Sabah)
- Keluli Tujuh (Johor)
- Jalan Tengar (Johor)
- Jalan Sebelas (Selangor)
- Seri Petaling construction site (Kuala Lumpur)
- Bukit Emas (Negeri Sembilan)
- Flora construction site (Putrajaya)
- Tembok Taiping (Perak)
“With that, I would like to also announce that two clusters have ended today, which are the Semambu and Keris Residence clusters. Total number of clusters which have ended are 385,” he remarked. – Jan 24, 2021.
