THE number of COVID-19 patients in intensive care reached a new high today with additional 34 new patients, bringing the total to 314 patients, with 122 requiring ventilator support.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry has reported 3,680 COVID-19 cases and seven deaths in the past 24 hours.
With the 3,680 new cases, the total number of infections in the country stands at 194,114 of which 42,389 are currently classified as active or infectious.
He also noted that 3,674 cases were local transmissions while the rest are imported infections.
Johor recorded the highest number of cases today with 1,069 infections, followed by Selangor (822) and Kuala Lumpur (698).
On related matter, Noor Hisham announced that 17 new clusters have been discovered in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of active clusters to 366. – Jan 27, 2021
