DagangHalal brings global halal supermarket, international buyer matching to Vitafoods Asia 2026

HOME-GROWN DagangHalal.Com, operator of the world’s largest halal-verified business-to-business (B2B) e-marketplace, has completed its participation as halal strategic partner at Vitafoods Asia 2026 in Thailand.

Held from Sept 2 to 4 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC) in Bangkok, the event staged annually at major Asian hubs is described by its organiser Informa Markets as Asia’s leading nutraceutical event that brings together the full value chain.

As a halal strategic partner, DagangHalal operated the World Halal Supermarket to showcase halal-certified products and facilitated a hosted buyer programme connecting qualified international procurement teams with relevant exhibitors across the show.

Following the opening ceremony on Sept 2, the Malaysian delegation led by the country’s ambassador to Thailand Datuk Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah successfully engaged more than 20 companies listed under the Malaysian exhibitor profile.

They comprised local manufacturers and multinational companies using their Malaysian operations as a base for regional market access.

“Vitafoods Asia 2026 provides an important platform for Malaysian companies to demonstrate their capabilities in halal, nutraceuticals, functional foods and wellness solutions while building meaningful partnerships with Thai and international businesses,” asserted Zaidi.

“My engagement with Malaysian companies at the exhibition, including DagangHalal, reflects the Embassy’s continued commitment to supporting their market expansion in Thailand.”

Through MATRADE Bangkok, the Malaysian Embassy will continue to facilitate business connections, market access and engagement with potential Thai partners, buyers and distributors.

Halal Internal Assurance System (HIAS)

As it is, Malaysian manufacturers have strong capabilities, including OEM (original equipment manufacturer) and ODM (original design manufacturer) solutions, hence are well-positioned to meet Thailand’s growing demand for quality and innovative health products.

In fact, platforms such as DagangHalal can further strengthen these connections by providing Malaysian halal businesses with greater visibility and access to regional and international markets.

“Strengthening business-to-business collaboration is particularly important as Malaysia and Thailand work towards achieving the bilateral trade target of US$30 bil (RM121.30 bil) by 2027,” enthused Zaidi.

“We encourage more Malaysian companies to explore Thailand not only as an important market, but also as a strategic gateway for expanding their presence across the wider region.”

To address the complex supply chain and export requirements of the nutraceutical sector, DagangHalal showcased its Halal Internal Assurance System (HIAS) as a tool for cross-border compliance and traceability.

Health supplements and functional foods often rely on multi-ingredient formulations that require strict origin tracking for international market access.

In this regard, the cloud-based HIAS platform assists manufacturers in centralising food-safety documentation, monitoring ingredient life-cycles and maintaining audit readiness for export. All in all, HIAS operates as an internal enterprise compliance tool and does not replace certification by an authorised Halal certification body.

According to Informa Markets’ event release, Vitafoods Asia 2026 spanned more than 20,000 sq metres and was expected to bring together more than 800 exhibitors from 40 countries, over 10 international pavilions and more than 16,000 visitors.

The event will move to the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur next from Sept 21-23, 2027.

The next edition is planned across eight halls and 35,000 sq metres with strategic collaboration from Malaysian government agencies such as the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE). – Sept 5, 2026
