EARLIER today, Health Ministry’s CovidNow website indicated 79 deaths for yesterday and 19 was declared as “brought in dead”, bringing total fatality to 33,384.
The site indicated 373 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 223 of them in need of ventilator support.
As of yesterday, Malaysia recorded 31,490 infections, bringing the cumulative total 3,680,953.
Moreover, the Health Ministry also announced than 29,035 patients have been recovered, with the total discharged now standing at 3,340,889.
Johor recorded the highest number of deaths at 16 followed by Kedah (13), Perak (13), Selangor (11), Pahang (5), Sabah (5), Kelantan (4), Malacca (3), Penang (2), Putrajaya (2) and Negri Sembilan (1). — March 9, 2022
