COVID-19: Will inter-state travel ban extension alone help?

NEW COVID-19 infections still remain at alarming levels as Malaysia recorded 2,690 new cases today, bringing the cumulative total to 392,942.

In a tweet, Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also announced that 1,853 patients have been cured, with the total discharged now stands at 367,753.

“Ten people have died today, bringing the death tally to 1,436,” he added.

Selangor recorded the highest number of cases again (751), followed by Sarawak (595), Kelantan (424) and Kuala Lumpur (217).

“Of the current active cases, 283 patients are still in receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU), with 121 of them in need of ventilator support,” he remarked. – April 25, 2021.
