Did PAS witness the fall of its “Tebuk Atap” strategy?

RECENT corruption and fake news cases against Perikatan Nasional (PN) leaders seem to have disrupted their “tebuk atap” strategy, with netizens suggesting that attempts to bring down Prime Minister (PM) Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s government may fail.

PAS and Bersatu had planned to enlist MPs from UMNO to prevent Anwar from becoming PM, but the enactment of the anti-hopping law thwarted their efforts.

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s (MACC) launch of a series of cases against PN leaders and supporters in the Jana Wibawa case has further hindered the PN’s goal of destabilising Anwar’s government, at least temporarily.

Moreover, Anwar has emphasised that the current coalition government will not tolerate attempts to undermine the country.

Netizens pointed out that while PN leaders criticise problems within the coalition government, they seem to overlook their own shortcomings.

When translated, the user is saying this is the result of the wrong prayers and wrong preachings done by the “tebuk atap” clan!

“In the end, the bad intentions are catching up to these political leaders. Hopefully, these people will be thrown away and disappear from Malaysian politics.”

Another Twitter user by the name of @johnbonded474 said that:

The netizen said that he is confused. He asked, what other arguments would these people come out with again?

The netizen then added that we should invite Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to the Putrajaya mosque to pray for repentance and strengthen his relationship with PMX. He concluded by saying that Malaysia has to be united for the people.

In lieu of that, the Twitter user is calling out the original poster of this tweet. He cited that an opposition leader (Tan Sri Hadi Awang) is an old man, and it is not good to say such things about him.

“We should not make him suffer in his old age and that God will give blessings for the world and our hereafter. We are all imperfect sinners and we have no place to judge anyone for their wrongdoings,” the user seems to say in support of Hadi.

The original poster said @BadBoy2662:

“The Marang case (election fraud). The case of Wan Saiful (corruption). The case of Adam Radlan (Jana Wibawa). Midin (Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin) case (party corruption). The eSukuk case of RM596 mil. Datuk Roy is now being grilled. They want to break into people’s houses by the roof (tebuk atap). But apparently, the floor of their compound (PAS) itself has collapsed.” — March 19, 2023
