Father apprehended for setting fire around child in viral video

FOR those people who grew up in a strict family, they should have no trouble recalling the pain caused by a cane across one’s buttocks.

But for an unfortunate little boy, memories of his childhood would involve something as bizarre as being surrounded by a ring of fire.

The Malaysian Gazette recently posted a video on X showing a child crying profusely from the mental torture committed by his father who set fire around him. Apparently the father had threatened to burn him alive.

One can only wonder if his father was trying to make a point on discipline or was he trying to offer his child up to some nameless demon.

We hope the police would be able to weasel that information out of him since it was reported that he had already been apprehended.

Kuantan Police Chief ACP Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu said the man had been arrested inside a Nissan Grand Livina at the bus stop fronting Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Maran 2 at 10.30pm.

Netizens were up in arms, condemning the man for his heartless act as seen in the comment section.

Dopesick suggested that it was better that the man become a pig since pigs display better parenting skills than him.

Another netizen said nowadays it was easier for the police to do their work. The idiot who committed the crime then recorded and shared it. There was no need to check the CCTV at the top of the durian hut or the neighbours roof.

Netizen ^awl^ wondered if the man was the son-in-law of abuya.

One netizen asked if the mother of the child was around and if she was also subjected to torture. With such behaviour, we aren’t surprised if the man extends his deviant behaviour to his wife.

Regardless, we are happy that he was kind enough to record his crime in a video which will undoubtedly make the life of prosecutors easier.

And to all the new parents out there, there are many ways to get your point across to your child without the need to set things on fire. – Sept 20, 2024
