HCK Capital Group (HCK) recently launched the HCK Real Estate Academy (HCK REA), which will offer short courses on real estate-related topics to enhance the overall experience of those involved in the property industry.
Principally aimed at real estate agents, property investors and landlords, these short courses will allow these stakeholders to make educated decisions and also proffer better advice and services to clients.
Offered in collaboration with SEGi University, these courses seek to combine the industry know-how of HCK with the academic rigour of the tertiary institution.
“We understand that the real estate industry is constantly evolving, and participants must stay ahead of the curve. HCK REA offers a range of specialised courses that cover various aspects of the property market,” explained HCK Group Managing Director (Operations and Oversight) Datuk Dr Dennis Ling in his welcoming speech at the launch event.
“Participants will have opportunity to learn from industry experts, qualified academicians and seasoned professionals who will provide them with the necessary guidance and insights.
“By investing in their education and professional development, participants can confidently navigate the challenges of the industry and seize emerging opportunities.”
Candidates who register for the courses will be privy to topics that include:
- Maximising rental yields;
- Marketing and sales of properties; and
- Property investments.
Panel of speakers include academicians such as SEGi University’s Dr Gooi Leong Mow who will combine first-hand knowledge of the real estate industry with his academic expertise in property marketing, allowing attendees an insight into what drives the property market here in Malaysia.
Other speakers include Elvin Wong and Eric Wong – popularly known as the SYNC Brothers – who will school candidates on how to maximise rental earnings. Having set up the Malaysia Home Stay/Short Stay Operators Association, they will speak on best rental practices and methodologies.
Also on the panel is Sr Philip Loo – Secretary-General of Malaysian Institute of Professional Estate Agents and Consultants – who will share his wealth of property industry knowledge on how to forecast market conditions to make informed investment decisions.
Alluding to HCK’s motto of ‘Done. Differently. Definitely’, Ling was keen to emphasise that HCK REA is the company’s concerted attempt to think outside the box and embrace different approaches.
“At HCK Real Estate Academy, we foster an environment that encourages participants to challenge conventional practices, explore innovative strategies, and find unique solutions. By doing things differently, participants can differentiate themselves and stand out in the industry,” he emphasised.
HCK REA is a division of HCK Capital Group’s Platform Division and is operated in collaboration with SEGi University.
Candidates who successfully complete the courses will be awarded Professional Certificates of Competencies, leading them to a micro-credential from SEGi University’s Master of Accountancy (MA) Programme.
