Hilton ushers in Yuletide festivities with delicious feasts

Season of splendour at Hilton Shah Alam i-City

The recently-opened Doubletree by Hilton Shah Alam i-City kicks off the timeless mid-century “Season of Splendour” theme this year espousing the concept of heart-warming traditions of get-togethers and family time wrapped in luxury.

Feasts and gifts await at Makan Kitchen headed by Executive Chef Lee Keen Suaan.

This year’s seasonal specials include the lavish Christmas Eve Dinner buffet with oven-roasted apple cider-brined turkey, beef wellington, salmon coulibiac, maple-glazed turkey meatloaf, oven-baked ginger flower salt king fish, coconut husk-smoked beef brisket, slow garlic lemongrass roasted chicken and roasted prime ribs.

The key highlight of the buffet includes the “Ten Grand Roasts of Christmas”, a Fine de Claire oyster bar and Christmas-inspired beverages Holiday Sangria (alcoholic) and Candy Cane Christmas (non-alcoholic).

Savoury slow-roasted “berlado” rub lamb leg and itik madu bakar (honey-roasted duck) laden with spices make the meal complete, topped by a four-course Christmas Set at Tosca besides the sweet and savoury Christmas Hi-tea and Christmas goodies to be enjoyed in the comfort of home at The Koffee and Axis Lounge.

Highlights of the Christmas Day buffet includes the Fine de Claire oyster bar, slow-roasted whole lamb with garlic and rosemary; and indoor Barbeque Station delights including daging harimau menangis; lamb shoulder; kepak ayam madu; tulang gear box comprising braised lamb shank with spices and chili gravy; and durian tempura.

At Vasco’s Seafood Market, a festive seafood-themed lunch or dinner will be available on most December weekends with seafood highlights including freshly-shucked Irish premium oysters (Tragheanna) and freshly-shucked French oysters (Fine de Claire).

Meanwhile, Chamber’s Grill delights with the best from the pastoral perfection of Queensland Augustus Station, with premium beef cuts best paired with an exquisite selection of wines to satiate one’s festive appetite.
