THE reimplementation of the movement control order (MCO 2.0) does not seem to be achieving the desired result as new COVID-19 infections continue, reaching 3,048 new cases today (total infections at 186,849).

However, the number of recovered patients is still on a steady trajectory with 3,638 patients discharged within the last 24 hours, bringing the total number to 145,084.

Currently, 261 patients are placed in the intensive care unit and 101 requires ventilator support.

Additionally, 13 new clusters were reported today – Jan 25, 2021
