AS WE Malaysians begin to settle down after the ground breaking news of Najib’s incarceration, perhaps it is time to reflect upon the greatest heist in Malaysia’s history.
On that note, a netizen posted a photo of Jho Low back in 2013 when he was helping Najib out during the election campaign in Penang.
So notorious was the man that just his chubby image alone could attract the attention of a great number of netizens in the cyberspace.
The post has since transformed into a heated debating ground, where a number of netizens could be seen reminiscing about the smashing defeat BN suffered in Penang even with the help of famed Korean singer PSY.

“I guess his parties aren’t always that wild,” said a hard-hitting @Lawrenceryy, sarcastically hinting at Jho Low’s parties in the past which included A-list Hollywood celebrities such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Paris Hilton, Megan Fox and Kim Kardashian.
Netizen @penveled pointed out that the people of Penang came out to enjoy the feast yet voted out BN, culminating in a double win.
“They ate the roasted pig, drank the beer, and voted the opposition. I asked my dad why he didn’t go for the free makan,” said a cheeky @MojoJojoMY.
But a careful @yapmagi claimed that many people who attended these free-of-charge dinners later faced income tax issues.
Then there was @Cashisnotking1 recalling the 1 Malaysia Group Voters of Air Putih offering direct cash for voters to vote against Lim Guang Eng.
Away from the comment section, we will note that it has been nearly 12 years since this photo was taken. Where is Jho Low? Will he ever face justice the same way his master did?
According to the New Straits Times, Low Taek Jho, may be hiding in either Shanghai, Macau or Myanmar. An unnamed source revealed that he remains elusive as numerous quarters offer him protection.
“It can be said that he is safe because his financial resources ensure his whereabouts are not disclosed to the authorities. Many quarters are offering him protection. Due to his financial capabilities, he is untouchable and difficult to track,” the source told Berita Harian.
Hopefully, 2026 will end with him standing trial and facing justice which is already long overdue. We can only pray and hope. —Dec 30, 2025
