A recent event proved to be the platform for everyday women to rebuild their self-confidence
The recent Sophia Goddess Night 2020 is a celebratory event which creates a stage for everyday women to rebuild their self-confidence. Held at Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara, the night began with speeches by Sophia International Bhd founder May Tan and chief executive officer Gerlind Tan. Guests were then treated to a lion dance performance, accompanied by the ‘Deity of Prosperity’.
Entertainment for the evening was provided by violinist Dennis Lau, belly dancing company Marie Ser and Co. and singer Moonse Aw, who dazzled the crowd with her superb vocals. The main highlight saw candidates of Sophia Goddess Night showing off their catwalk in evening gowns in front of a panel of judges. It was the ultimate recognition of their transformation from an ordinary woman to “a living goddess that exudes extraordinary charm and charisma”.
Ultimately, May Tan Pe May, 49, was crowned the winner amidst cheers from the audience. Overall, it was a perfect platform for women to know what it takes to stand out and be beautiful in their own way.
