BURSA Malaysia ended the morning session lower as market sentiments were affected by concerns on the economic impact of the coronavirus outbreak.
At lunch break, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) stood at 1,548.32, down by 2.15 points from Wednesday’s close of 1,550.47.
After opening 0.78 of a point better at 1,551.25, the index moved between 1,540.71 and 1,551.25 throughout the morning trading session.
Market breadth was negative with decliners trumping gainers 496 to 255, while 340 counters remained unchanged, 900 untraded and 76 others suspended.
Turnover amounted to 1.49 billion shares worth RM988.48 mil. – Jan 30, 2020, Bernama
