EPF: Physical visit only via appointment; transact online as much as possible

IN light of the implementation of the various movement control orders (MCO) nationwide, all Employees Provident Fund (EPF) offices and counters will be open for appointments only via Janji Temu Online at www.kwsp.gov.my/janjitemu.

This will be implemented at all states under the MCO (Selangor, Penang, Melaka, Johor, Sabah, and the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Labuan) and conditional MCO (Negeri Sembilan, Terengganu, Perak, Kedah, Kelantan, and Pahang).

“All EPF kiosks will be operating from 8.30am until 4.30pm on weekdays subject to strict observance of standard operating procedures (SOPs),” the retirement fund pointed out.

For matters regarding i-Sinar such as applications for Category 1 and Category 2, application status check, frequently asked questions (FAQs) and application guideline, members are urged to visit i-Sinar Online at www.isinar.kwsp.gov.my.

As for general queries, members are urged to call the i-Sinar special hotline at 03-8922 4848 while for other matters, members may secure an appointment to any nearby EPF office and counter via the Janji Temu Online.

Elsewhere, EPF also reminded employers that the last day to remit their mandatory EPF contribution for 2021 remains on the 15th of every month via i-Akaun (Employer), internet banking, and appointed bank agent counters.

“The EPF highly encourages members to transact online via i-Akaun for selected services as much as possible so as to reduce the need to travel to our branches in an effort to minimise contact risk,” added the retirement fund. – Jan 12, 2021
