SHORT-TERM rates are expected to remain stable today on Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) operations to absorb surplus liquidity from the financial system.
Today’s liquidity is estimated at RM25.04 bil in the conventional system and RM20.48 bil in Islamic funds.
The central bank will conduct three conventional money market tenders worth RM1 bil each for seven days, 14 days and 21 days.
It will also conduct an Islamic range maturity auction (iRMA) Qard tender valued at RM2 bil for 21 days.
At 4pm, the BNM will conduct up to RM22 bil for conventional overnight tender and RM18.5 bil for Murabahah overnight tender. – March 3, 2020, Bernama
