SHORT-TERM rates are expected to remain stable today on Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) operations to absorb surplus liquidity from the financial system.
Today’s liquidity is estimated at RM33.82 bil in the conventional system and RM21.49 bil in Islamic funds.
The central bank will conduct two conventional money market tender worth RM3 bil each for seven days and 14 days, respectively.
It will also conduct one Islamic range maturity auction (iRMA) Qard tender worth RM1.4 bil for seven to 32 days as well as one reverse repo tender worth RM1 bil for 28 days.
At 4pm, the BNM will conduct up to RM28.8 bil for conventional overnight tender and RM20.1 bil for Murabahah overnight tender. – Feb 28, 2020, Bernama
