KUALA LUMPUR: Trading of shares in property developer and hotelier TA Global Bhd has been suspended since 9am today pending an announcement.
“The request for suspension was made pursuant to Paragraph 3.1 of Practice Note 2 on Request for Suspension of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Securities,” it said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia.
The company, whose stock was at 21 sen at yesterday’s closing, had previously announced it was adversely impacted by Covid-19.
The pandemic has affected the financial performance of TA Global and its subsidiaries in the financial year ending Dec 31, 2020 following the temporary suspension of operations of several hotels under TA Global Group in March and April 2020.
Among the hotels were Aava Malacca Hotel in Melaka; Four Points by Sheraton, Bangkok; Movenpick Resort and Spa Karon Beach, Phuket; Radisson Plaza BLU, Australia; AAVA Whistler Hotel, Canada; and Trump International Hotel & Tower Vancouver, Canada. – June 2, 2020, Bernama
