Malaysia Healthcare strives to better serve healthcare travellers from China

MALAYSIA Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC) signed two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with China’s International Medical Exchange & Cooperation Committee (IMECC) and Hangzhou Rende Maternity Hospital to collaboratively improve the patient experience of healthcare travellers from China.

The partnerships will enable knowledge sharing between the three parties through a series of continuous medical education (CME) sessions, allowing Malaysian and Chinese healthcare experts to explore and discuss the industry’s best practices and healthcare matters.

“Through our partnerships with IMECC and Hangzhou Rende Maternity Hospital, we are confident that healthcare travellers from China will benefit from a more holistic patient journey experience,” said MHTC CEO Mohd Daud Mohd Arif.

Meanwhile, Hangzhou Rende Maternity Hospital dean Ren Ding Xiang shared that the institution will be working closely with the Hangzhou Malaysia International Referral Centre to ensure a seamless patient experience for those seeking additional treatment in Malaysia.

“As a renowned private hospital that thrives on providing high quality fertility related services to our patients, Hangzhou Rende Maternity Hospital looks forward to embarking on a journey with Malaysia Healthcare to elevate our patients’ healthcare journey experience,” he commented.

Earlier in April, MHTC was reported to have been working with the Association of Private Hospital of Malaysia (APHM) to facilitate medical tourism at the earliest stage, despite the current pandemic. – May 21, 2021
