When you watch the actors in Korean dramas or reality shows eating food like spicy Tteokbokki or steaming hot Kimchi Stew, it can make you drool and crave for it. To satisfy your longing for Korean food, MyeongDong Topokki is here to save the day.
Since 2014, the brand has been serving a generous selection of Halal Korean hot meals across Malaysia in a relaxed environment. Due to the extension of Movement Control Order (MCO), they came out with DIY meal kits called MDT Apron.
This concept provides you with a three days meals subscription, including six main dishes and three Korean street food, sufficient for one pax. To ensure the best quality and freshness of the ingredients, the team only prepares it upon order at the Halal certified food processing centre in OUG, Kuala Lumpur.
“MDT has always wanted to be an innovative company as aligned with the company vision, to position MyeongDong Topokki as the leading tech firm in South East Asia. It has always been the plan in my mind, but the market was not ready, yet hence we keep it first. Now, seeing the market is ready for this, we grab the opportunity and hence be the trendsetter in Food & Beverages,” explained Founder and CEO of MyeongDong Topokki, Vincent Lua.
In one week time after MDT Apron launched, they have sold more than 100 boxes across Peninsular Malaysia, and the future of this concept looks bright.
“MDT Apron is still in our ongoing plan as we will be updating the menu two weeks once. That way, customers can cook different dishes at home too. Our upcoming plan will include some other dishes that are not in MyeongDong Topokki menu. So, stay tuned!,” said the 34-year-old entrepreneur.
