IT CAN be really frustrating for a person who is about to leave for work, only to find that the fuel in his vehicle has been stolen. Car drivers do not face such issues but the same cannot be said for motorcycle riders.
This is because it is too easy to steal fuel from a bike. Since the fuel tank is connected via a fuel pipe, all a thief has to do is cut or disconnect it.
Take for example, a recent viral video where a foreigner was caught red handed syphoning fuel from a bike. Fortunately, the bike owner found out about it and decided to record it with his phone.

What makes it even more interesting was the fact that the thief tried to squirm his way out by explaining while his local Malay wife who acted as a lookout apologised.
According to the thief, he wasn’t stealing from the bike since he didn’t have a bike in the first place. Also, he claimed that he was in fact helping him. But the situation was obvious with the scissor on the ground beside his feet.
Netizen @mlrsli who watched the video praised the biker for his patience. “If it was me, this fella’s teeth would be scattered on the floor,” he said.

Some netizens also attacked the Malay lady who was the thief’s partner.

“Is this auntie so unpopular that she has to marry a Pakistani?” @lullalabyy wondered.

The winning comment probably came from @johnnymagoo198 who likened this video to the observation of chimpanzees by Jane Goodall.

The brief video did not reveal any other details besides the face of the offenders but netizen @update11111 who brought the video to light said the incident took place at Forest City, Johor. As for the thieves, we can only hope that they are dealt with appropriately by the long arms of the law.—Aug 12, 2025
