Netizens compare Horizon Beranang Circuit to Kedah’s non-starter race track project

THE new Horizon Beranang Circuit in Selangor has gotten netizens talking and they are comparing it to the non-starter in Kedah.

An influential PKR member on X @adzman86 wrote in a post on the circuit that the final works on Horizon Beranang Circuit have now been completed and it will be officially opened to the public soon.

“Inspired by the workforce of Horizon Motorsports, this circuit was realised on 6 acres of land with the help of the Kajang Municipal Council, housing a 1km-long circuit as well as supporting facilities such as pits, spectators, cafes and others.

“What makes Horizon Beranang Circuit special and different from other small circuits is in terms of circuit layout, where HBC has 12 layout options that can be adjusted according to your training needs and racing machinery,” he said.

However, netizens are comparing the Selangor Menteri Besar (MB) Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari to the Kedah MB Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor. They are teasing the Kedah MB whom they say can only karaoke but does not deliver.

Others are saying the opponents from Kedah are calling him names or poking fun at him but look at his achievements on the circuit.

On Aug 16, 2022, Sanusi was reported to have said that the state has the desire to have an international standard race track and that there were plans to build one at the cost of RM75 mil.

He said the Sungai Petani International Racetrack will be developed on land owned by Kedah MB Incorporated (MBI) in an area of 60 hectares. But since then, very little has been said about the project. This became a horse battle in the 2022 general elections. – March 31, 2024
