Netizens to Kedah MB: Pay the RM120,000 Sanusi and stop fooling around!

KEDAH Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor has been accused of playing the wrong cards after alleging that Kedah Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Datuk Mahfuz Omar is trying to capitalise on his popularity.

Sanusi’s statement comes amidst growing pressure for him to pay a RM120,000 defamation lawsuit settlement to Mahfuz.

The allegations have sparked a debate among netizens, with some criticising Sanusi’s remarks and calling for him to settle the payment promptly.

Sanusi accused Mahfuz of using the issue to “reappear in the national political arena” and suggested that it may be a part of his strategy to regain his lost popularity, as Mahfuz lost by over 31,000 votes in the last general election.

Sanusi added that he had already handed over the payment to his lawyer a week ago, who is currently negotiating with Mahfuz’s legal team.

“Hahahaha, riding on your popularity? Please. You lost the defamation suit, just pay. If you can’t afford to pay, it’s not hard to declare bankruptcy.

“You have two options. 1) Pay up. 2) Declare bankruptcy. No need to boast about your popularity. Who are you? Couldn’t even take care of Kedah.”

Meanwhile, user @KGEglobal8 invites Kedah citizens to change leadership in the state.

“Hi Kedahans. Look at this MB, What is this attitude? What is this statement? Hope for a change during the state polls later. We may not know if a new MB will make a difference or not, but we can confirm that this MB is not worth it. Let’s vote for a change! What more could you lose?”

User @NORazmanbinoma3 said pay up, you already lost at the MB.

“Pay it, you’ve lost, what’s the story you are playing, there’s not enough money to pay? The Milo tin will help later. For the supporters, please give (him) enough money to pay.” — May 7, 2023
